Story Behind "Tricky Squirrel"

 One of my favorite childhood memories is listening to my Dad share adventures of the Tricky Squirrel and his companions, the three dogs, after being tucked into bed. Each adventure was parallel to the days events. And no matter what transpired, that silly Tricky Squirrel was always pranking and teasing those dogs. And each time, the Tricky always got the last laugh.

Today, my Dad (now PawPaw) shares these fun and timeless stories with another captive audience, my daughter and his seven grandchildren. They too enjoy hearing these timeless stories and singing the Tricky Squirrel song as they move their fingers back and forth. With each one, my mind races back to those care-free days of childhood listening attentively to what that Tricky Squirrel was up to do next.
